The Fruit He Leaves on The Counter
Sick of seeing beautiful still life just go unphotographed, I decided to document a weeks worth of fruit scraps that I would stumble on each day. Documented on 35mm Kodak Portra film.
In the studio with Dust + Form
I was so lucky to document the magic behind the scenes at Dust + Form over in Burlington, VT. This session was captured on a mix of medium format and 35mm film.
On a rooftop with actor Graham Campbell
Actor captured on medium format and 35mm film in Boston, MA.
I was lucky to catch up with the very talented actor Graham Campbell before he debuted on Broadway this past Fall. We captured these images on a combination of medium format and 35mm film. This was a perfect opportunity to use the beautiful film stock Ferrania P30 which is a newly manufactured film engineered with modernized versions of original chemicals, based on the historic cinema formula of the mid-20th century.
Music videos for my all time favorite band Toledo
The pandemic provided many of us the opportunity to do projects we might never have the time for. These two music videos are certainly examples of that for me. These videos came to us as fun last minute projects for the band Toledo who was releasing new music. These were times when we had to think outside the box and work with limited (no) crew and resources.
First up is a 5 minute stop motion animation created entirely by hand in my living room.
This second video is the result of two filmmakers who have no choice but to star in the music video they are tasked with making. Proof that obstacles always yield the weirdest and best results.
Created, shot and edited by Alex Sandman and myself.
